Fulton County Election Observation Mission Issues Preliminary Findings on 2024 General Elections

ATLANTA — The Fulton County election observation mission, consisting of the monitoring team led by Ryan Germany working in conjunction with Â鶹´«Ã½, has comprehensively observed the 2024 general elections, including poll worker training, equipment testing, absentee ballot processing, advance voting, Election Day voting, tabulation of results, chain of custody protocols, and additional election-related policies and processes. While the mission continues to monitor vital post-election processes, including canvassing, certification, and a risk-limiting audit, the overall conclusion is that the Fulton County election was smooth, transparent, and well-organized.

On Election Day, observer teams visited all polling locations in Fulton County as well as the election hub. Overall, the observers reported a consistent, accessible, and well-run process, with no significant irregularities, despite an external attempt to disrupt the elections through nearly 40 bomb threats targeting Fulton County polling places.

While no election is perfect and the mission will include recommendations for areas of improvement in the final report, team member Matt Mashburn, former acting chair of the State Election Board and longtime Republican Party statewide poll watcher, said: “I have been observing tabulation for 30 years, and I have never seen a more orderly and organized process in Fulton County than I observed Tuesday [Election Day] night.”

The election observation mission commends election staff, poll workers, law enforcement, and board members for their work on behalf of the voters of Fulton County.
